Sixteen-year-old Jeff stumbles upon a hidden cave during a morning run and activates a mysterious obelisk that transports him to another world. He is immediately attacked by dragons and barely survives before being rescued—reluctantly—by two young hunters, Kaia and her fiercely protective brother, Makia.

They bring Jeff to their fortified underground village, one of the last human settlements after a devastating war against the ape-like Nukpana and their dragon mounts. Though first treated as a prisoner, Jeff earns a place among the hunters by using his Kenpo skills against the monsters. He grows close to Kaia, sparking tension with Makia.

Hoping to find a way home, Jeff learns of a forbidden domed city said to contain advanced technology and possibly a portal. Driven by jealousy, Makia leads a reckless expedition near the ruins. The group is ambushed; Makia is gravely wounded, and Jeff and Kaia fight their way back while carrying him. Their survival strengthens their bond—but the Nukpana track them to the village.

A massive assault follows. Jeff’s idea to reinforce the gates with dragon scales helps repel the attack, though many villagers die. In the aftermath, Makia accuses Jeff of betrayal and dishonor. A divided council exiles them both. Kaia chooses to go with Jeff.

The three journeys to the domed city, entering through underground tunnels filled with Nukpana, flooded passages, and a radiation-scorched wasteland. Inside, they discover a secretive, technologically advanced human society. Captured and put on trial for invasion, they face execution.

During a public sentencing, they stage a desperate escape and reach an active portal—the same one used for executions. With guards closing in, they leap through.

They emerge in a frozen world beneath twin moons—still far from home, but finally united as a team.
