About the instructor Bill Cartmell

I began my formal Tai Chi training in 1993 with Master Peter Hill, where I first learned the art of Tai Chi. I earned my Black Sash in Tai Chi in January 2003 and my second black sash in March 2006. In 2004, I started attending White Crane Tai Chi classes, further expanding my skills in this practice. Most recently, on June 29, 2025, I received a Level 6 Master Instructor Certification from World Tai Chi, solidifying my role as a Tai Chi instructor.

Tai Chi Forms Program

Students are encouraged to start from the beginner level forms and progress to the advanced level forms in their Tai Chi classes. A student can choose to learn a specific form, such as the popular Tai Chi 24 Form or the Tai Chi Fan Form, under the guidance of a qualified Tai Chi instructor, instead of committing to the full program of Tai Chi training.

Led by a skilled Tai Chi instructor, you'll learn the movements slowly and safely, with no full throws or floorwork of any kind. These Tai Chi classes are designed for ages 18 and up, providing a great opportunity for Tai Chi training.
